Yashar Aliev
Yashar Teymur oghlu Aliyev is an Azerbaijani diplomat who has served as Ambassador of Azerbaijan to the Czech Republic since 2024. He was the Permanent Representative of Azerbaijan to the United Nations from 2002 to 2006 and again from 2014 to 2024. Previously, he served as Ambassador of Azerbaijan to the United States from 2006 to 2011, with concurrent accreditation to Mexico from 2007 to 2009. He was also Azerbaijan's first ambassador to Cuba, serving from 2005 to 2006 and again from 2014 to 2022.
